Review by Jonathan Sanders of Gods Of Music.com
If you enjoy country styled blues with well performed music and excellent vocals, you're going to like Lee Tyler Post. His genre is a tough one in which to survive, many want to sing the blues but few can master what is needed to succeed. Lee definitely has what it takes.
His music is simple, light layered acoustic guitars giving the song momentum to keep going, much like the lonely road in this song. And his vocals slide over the tapestry of sound like they were meant to be there, almost like fate. Lee's voice lends itself nicely to the lyrics which are top notch in my opinion, and this all leads to a great track worth anyone's listen.
Give Lee Tyler Post your listening time, you won't want to stop his music from playing. This is the kind of music people were meant to live by, so do yourself the favor! How often do you get the chance to hear this kind of music in today's rough and tumble competitive music world? If "Highway 47" is any indication, this guy is going to be around for awhile, and I'm sure he'll take his listeners along on a wild musical journey. Strap yourself in !!!
Another review :
I was completely ready to write the riot act to Mr. Post. I was ready to poke holes in his self-confident web page. We've all read the self-important web pages that bloat an artist's meaning and ability in this world. Well, Mr. Post's wasn't much different. It says that he is a true original and God's gift to us mere mortals (I'm paraphrasing). However, much to my surprise, he's as good as he says he is.
This is a gifted musician and songwriter. That much is absolutely clear from note one. Lee Tyler Post understands a good turn of phrase and a thought put to music. I have to hand it to Lee Tyler Post, he's won me over.
The song is just a simple acoustic guitar that doesn't sound so simple and, the voice of an artist. Lee Tyler Post really brings out the feeling in every refrain. This song is clearly good solid music and I think capable of every award it can get.
Bottom line, he may not be an absolute original. He carries with him the influence of a number of musicians but he's one hell of listen. You'll be glad you checked him out.
