Artist description
All Rodiah ever needed was an audience and she would provide the entertainment. That eagerness to be the center of attention landed her a spot in Lenny Kravitz’s first video “ Let Love Rule”. They weren’t even casting in her age group but that didn’t stop her, Rodiah waltzed right in and did what she does best… Born and raised in a suburb in Queens, NY, Rodiah “stumbled” upon her rap career not too long ago, but like most things destine to be she advanced quickly, having a natural way with words and a talent for putting them to song. What started out a joke to make a friend laugh, Rodiah began to pen rhymes on the train, writing about things that went on in her life. However those rhymes she wrote for fun turned into something very serious when a close friend who had noticed Rodiah’s knack for reciting lyrics without missing a beat suggested that she try her hand at rap. Writing for her was and still is really easy, She wrote all of the songs on her demo “Phase I”. “I was in honors English in high school and I used to write stories and poems, so writing rhymes came natural” Rodiah loves all kinds of music and she incorporates that same versatility into her music, making each song different from the last. Rodiah hopes that versatility will provide a refreshing change for rap listeners and attract listeners from all genres of music. The last few years were spent writing and recording but along the way Rodiah passed up many opportunities. “I passed up several opportunities because I felt I wasn’t ready, I don’t believe in half stepping, so I decided I would become the best. I stayed in the lab, writing rhymes, perfecting my flow and now I’m ready”
