Artist History Mark grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He left there almost immediately after graduation and joined the Navy where he found himself a very patient fella' named Roy to teach him the basics of the guitar during his first med cruise. On his second med cruise, he learned to transcribe his guitar "notes" into piano "notes" and learned basics on the piano. That is is predominant instrument. Mark recorded his first demo while working as a karaoke DJ in the Oklahoma City area in 1997 and, given the local success he had, decided to make the move to Nashville. Only one problem: Family. So, the next best thing was to go back into the military (army this time) and go to Ft. Campbell, KY which is only an hour or so away. Due to a back injury, he was medically discharged and moved directly to Nashville where he is now shopping the very music listed on this page. We appreciate your support.
