Artist History
Loophole was the brainchild of Anthony Monaco. After complaining about not being able to find enough good musicians, good friend Carrie Wood introduced him to her childhood friend Amanda Geyer who had just moved to the city. Combining their skills with a bassist Carrie and Anthony worked with, Loophole was born.
Keeping their dance beats in effect with a drum machine, they set about learning the catalogue of songs Anthony already had written. After a while the original bassist's style made it clear he was not a good fit. Trey Toegel responded to an add Anthony had placed in a local paper. He was an instant hit, and new member of the band.
Loophole played a number of shows as a four-piece, still utilizing a drum machine for the drums. After some discussion it was put out that if the right drummer could be found, they would like one. Carrie found KII on SeattleDrummer.com. KII was also an instant hit. Not only did he like the music, he was able to feel it right away and was quickly offered a position in the band which he happily accepted.
Loophole then went through a series of transitions, losing members Amanda Geyer and founder Carrie Wood to other life interests. Concurrently, the band gained keyboardist Greg Schwartz from England, and bassist Joel Saad, moving Trey from bass to guitar, his first love.
Loophole has been taking over the stage wherever it plays. Their combination of rock and infectious beats has proven to be undeniable to any audience who hears it. |
