Artist History
Deluge is a promising hardcore band based in the Netherlands. They have managed to create a unique sound with energetic and heavy guitar-riffs, which are in perfect harmony with the melodic piano-parts. The fast but steady rythmsection is the base of passionate hardcore in the vein of Stretch Armstrong, Shai Hulud and Snapcase. Provoking songs strengthen by the personal and social aware lyrics are colouring the intensive live shows of this band, they played shows with bands like the Zoliband (usa), Backfire (hol), Deviate (bel), Stampin Ground (uk), Liar (bel), Waterdown (ger), Next step up (usa), L'esprit du clan (fra), Drowning (fra), Spirit'84 (hol), Do or Die (bel), The Spirit that guides us (hol), Undeclinable (hol), Laberinto (ven) and many more.
The mini-cd "Pianolaincognito", released by the band in 1998, received great response from both press and fans. In June 2000 the band entered the Bunt Studios in Utrecht/Holland, together with Menno Bakker (NRA, Undeclinable, Mainstrike, Judas Priest) to record their debut full-length "Spot In The Shadow" for Tolerance Records. The CD contains 11 tracks with screaming titles like Bridges fall, Anger\die right here and Fuel the grain. After the release on the 28th of October 2000, the CD received once more great response from magazines like Aardschok, Terrorizer and many more, but also from fans. Deluge proofs that they can come along with the prominent bands within the scene. |

Press Reviews
Inside Knowledge Magazine: Talking about great bands from Holland you can't deny the great musical strength of Deluge anymore. The thing that makes this band unique to my point of view is the use of a keyboard combined with melodic metal orientated riffs. I think that if you like Stretch Arm Strong you surely can buy this blindly. I'm really surprised by the great quality of this CD and the diversity of the eleven songs and I feel ashamed about the fact that I haven't seen them yet on stage because after listening to this great CD I assume that they have to be a very energetic band on stage. And this master-piece is recorded in the Bunt's studios so you know that the quality is great. Just get it baby!
Skipworth Records: SHAI HULUD, STRETCH ARM STRONG and NOFX fans take note. It is beyond me how truelly great and passionate this record is. You are going to love it! |
