Artist History
Bryan Baker, instrumental guitarist, began his young, yet full career at the age of 12, performing live at a blues festival in Chicago, 1999. At the moment the audience realized this virtuoso was only approaching 13, that particular reality didn't seem to matter- what took them out of their seats was the rapturous way in which Baker commanded the guitar not only in the blues genre, but amazed and delighted them with his virgin ideals of what he could do with a jazz solo. By closing it was apparent to Bryan as well as his new fans this young man intended to affect the world with his musical message.
Within six months, Baker accepted a full-year scholarship to the Los Angeles Music Academy, Pasadena, where he and his Mom have settled for the moment. Baker is preforming twice a week within the Los Angeles jazz club scene, set for session work, completing his first CD release in October 2001 - and intends to tour New York by summer 2002.
