Artist description
Freestyle is a name that not only defines the band, but the band's philosophy.
The words "Freedom" and "Lifestyle" should go together and this band's attitude
helps to do just that.
Big Man (drums), Bass Ace (bass), Ace Crikey(guitar), Skankin' Henry(guitar)
provide a solid rythmic foundation for the hard edged, melodic work of Ras
Claat (guitar and vocals), along with the stylized vocals of Sir Life...
FreeStyle brings their listeners an enjoyable mix of roots, rock, and reggae. |

Artist History
Freestyle was formed in the late 90's by Brent, Steve, and John to be a backing band for big name reggae
acts that come to San Diego. They began to write their own style of roots rockin'
reggae and released " Irie Vibes" in early 2001. Soon after, the vocal stylings of Sir
Life and the backing guitar of Nick was added to fill the sound. To fill it even
more, Skankin' Henry was soon added. |
