Artist History
Aaron Chandler Wright has been a musician in a couple different bands.
The first band’s name was Anonymous. In Anonymous Aaron played the drums
and helped out with back-up vocals. Aaron’s first band, Anonymous, played
many private parties, charities, and fraternity parties. When the lead singer
left for college, the rest of the band continued to look for a way to keep
on playing. This passion for music brought Aaron directly to the microphone.
He gave up playing the drums in the band and started to take on the role as
the lead vocalist. He would be playing some guitar and keyboard as well. They
found a new drummer and started a different band. They decided to call the
band Moonshine. After many rehearsals, Moonshine had its first gig in early 1996
at a pool-hall in Columbus, Ohio. This was the first time that Aaron Chandler Wright
sang lead vocals in front of an audience. At the time Aaron didn’t know that this
was going to lead to a long career in front of the microphone. Throughout Aaron’s
career as a musician, he has dabbled with the harmonica. He taught himself how to
play the harmonica after receiving a few of them from his brother for Christmas.
It was a creative gift, truly the gift that keeps on giving. Aaron has always felt
a need to express himself through his original music and Moonshine wasn’t giving
him the chance to do that. He then made the decision to write his own original music,
but he didn’t know if he would ever get a chance to play this music in front of
real people. At the time, he could only hope for that. He decided to call his work
“The Chandler Wright Story.” He used the name Chandler because it is symbolic to him.
Not only is it his middle name, but it was also a way of letting the public know what
was inside him. It was as if he was opening himself up like a book. (A story, if you will.)
He was writing for himself and expressing his feelings through his music.
Aaron Chandler Wright now has the opportunity to perform the songs that he has been
working on for the last Three years. He has put together what some would
call a “Super-Band.” J Aaron has contacted some of the best players in central Ohio
to play with him. They will be playing every Tuesday night at Cosmos in Dublin, Ohio.
This powerful line-up includes Joel Steward playing the drums, John Zuck playing
the bass, and Bob Murnahan playing the guitar. Their energy and love for the music
comes through during each performance. All the members have added their own flavor,
and the music has grown to become their songs as well. Aaron Chandler Wright sums
it up when he said, “I’m very excited to be playing with all of these excellent
musicians and I’m equally as excited to have the chance to share The Chandler Wright Story
with the world”. |
