    Artist description
The year is 1996; the place is Toronto Ontario, Canada. Robin Salter and Derek Raponi both 14 meet and start having weekly jam sessions with friends from school. Thus, Creative Image is formed. But after a few months of these weekly sessions, Derek and Robin decide that they want to take the band to a higher level. They recruit another high school buddy named Dylan Broda, known throughout the school as the terror drummer of the stage band, a few more changes and the three piece FUBAR is created. Through FUBAR the guys discovered a new love for punk rock and skate punk. Thus changing their music style drastically, and never looking back. FUBAR played shows throughout Ontario on a regular basis creating a small following and fan base. But as the boys played more and more, one thing became very clear, FUBAR is a very popular name. Upon the realization that there are many bands with the same name as them, another change was very necessary. 14 CARROTS SOLD was created. Over the next few years (1997-1999) 14 CARROTS SOLD played all around Toronto and the surrounding areas, powering their way through the Canadian music scene, bringing fans and music lovers alike to their amusing and stylish brand of upbeat “skate-punk”. In the fall of 2000 14 CARROTS SOLD finally made their way into the studio to record a 5 song EP called “See Ya In The Pit!”. The CD sold very successfully and resulted in 14 CARROTS SOLD being included in several Punk/Ska compilations with some of the finest talent in the Canadian Independent Punk Scene. 14 CARROTS SOLD also found their work being used in other artistic disciplines, with the track "Can't Stay the Same" from their debut release being included in a Canadian Independent film entitled, "Teenage Angst", released in the spring 2001. As well, a local television show called “BANG TV” caught up with 14 CARROTS SOLD while they were playing at the grand opening of the first public skate park in Toronto (Cummer Skate Park) and filmed a segment on the bands set, as well as included the track “Not Cool” in a segment celebrating the local skate talent in Toronto. Early 2002 brought another change to 14 CARROTS SOLD with the addition of a fourth member, Zac Reaney Barker was recruited as a second guitar to create a more “solid” sound during live performances. Hard work, determination to succeed, and passion for their music have propelled 14 CARROTS SOLD to strive for success. While encouraging their fans to think for themselves and form their own opinions, this Toronto based four-piece band has enjoyed pursuing their live performances aiming to involve their crowds as much as they can with vibrant displays of entertaining musical virtuosity.
