It's very hard to say any certain artist, we believe we have a sound of it's own.
    Artist History
Spineblister is a 7 piece band located in Kansas City Kansas. We play music to have fun, and to hopefully make people have a better day by listening to us. Our sound is one of it's own being categorized as many things such as; Metal, Hardkore, Melodic Hardkore, Deathkore, Rapcore, Rock, Crap, Loud Destructive shit, and that noise down the street. As said, everybody classifies us in their own category. So we will let you decide on your own. And now, how it all began; A Few years back we started out in the summer of 2000. The first 4 original members where Matt, Yeager, Lonnie, and James. The first practice being in Yeager's back porch. The next member to join up, not to long after, was a kid named Elrod. He would be the drummer. Yet with his ability to play, his heart wasn't in the right place and was out of the band in less then two weeks. But we didn't let that bother us, and moved on, and no less then a week later, John joined up. The 5 of us practiced for a while and was doing good without a drummer, but new every time we jammed that we needed to get one. So we thought about it for a while, and came up with the idea of getting Scott in the band. Yet only knowing two other members, Scott tried out and was really good. At first we were the same as any other band in town, just trying to have fun while playing music with silent dreams of making it big someday. But we new that if we were ever going to make it anywhere, we needed to start practicing and working hard. Which 3 months down the line we set up our own show that we opened for called "Evil Next Door". We played with Unit, Krap, and Woke Up Dead. It was pretty successful for our first show, which boosted our confidence a little in our music, that also made us push more. No More than a month after the show, we sat down in Unit's studio and recorded our first demo tape. At the time we were thrilled, but the recording sucked. We only spent about 3 hours on it. Realizing this after listening to it for a while (being caugt up in the excitement to not notice it earlier), the 6 of us decided to work harder to make another demo, but taking more time on it and having new material. In this time period, James was seeming to loose his edge in music. Other things were taking his time over the band and he wasn't putting his all into it and was missing some practices. With all this happening the rest of the band was wondering if he would ever get back into his normal self and giving him fair warnings thought he just might. We went ahead into the studio and spent all day on the next recording. Which the demo came out better then the last but still lacked a lot. But with it, the demo was able to get us a show at the Bottleneck. All of us were thrilled to have our first show at bottleneck. And it went out pretty good, and with it our push for furthering our sound jumped and we really wanted to get to work. And this is where we finally decided to get rid of James. None of us wanted to, but it was something that was holding us back way to much and was hurting the band. But write after he left, we wrote a few more songs and had some more shows. WE WERE ROLLIN! and having a blast doing what we were doing. The Summer of 2001 is when we decided to actually put some money into our next demo. Dropping a good chunk of cash, we went to Poor Boy Productions and was reocorded by Aaronn Crawford. This demo was a 6 song EP and we spent a little less then a week. This so far is our latest demo, but even though the quality exceeded both our previous two by far, it still could be better. After that the band heard about a TV deal and being able to have two of our songs played on TV for around 6 million viewers. I must say, we were thrilled. So we agreed to do it. In the time from there to a few weeks before the TV show we gathered two new members, being Kenneth and Robert. They played a few practices with us and then went on TV with us. We would like to say it came out great, but both songs were recorded pretty bad and the music seemed to have no kick to it on TV. So it was more of a dissapointment that our live sound wasn't captured and the recording was played infront of 6 million views. Oh well, live and learn. From there we decided to get a few more shows. One of our biggest shows was Halloween night, with a few new songs added to the list of old ones, we destroyed the place and had the hold crowd going nuts. Many would say that was our best show ever, most of us would probably agree, but that is only until we play our next one. The big show we had after that was one at Nieners. We were pretty excited about it, but with Matt having a soar throat, some of the house speakers blown, and bad amps, we didn't sound all to great. Which put us down a little bit since we just got off of a great show, but were able to just set ourselves up to work harder. And so we did. The band decided to set all our old stuff to the side and just work on all new material, with no run threws of old songs. Which brings you to today (January 12, 2002). We currently have 5 new songs; Destory, Life, Saga, These Last few painful moments and Trust. And for the Many of haven't heard our new stuff yet, just wait, it will make your ears bleed in pleasure for how F*cking good it's turning out.
