Artist description
Midriff writes songs declaring independance from
the mainstream media machine by using their own
tactics against them. Their songs are about
misguided youth, relationships, media, and the
little things they see and experience everyday.
Their views are expressed through fast driven punk
and catchy 2nd and 3rd wave ska.

Artist History
Midriff actually started out as a swing/ska band
back in 1998. You can still download their old
tracks on MP3.com, under the name "a.k.a. C-4".
Back then they had a female vocalist, and a horn
section. The band diffused in 2000, and reformed
a year later; minus the vocalist and the
horn section. The bassist was replaced by
childhood friend Johnnie Timm, who has played
in bands with Chad Clay and Casey Palbicki since
they were 15. The band then turned towards punk
and ska, and renamed the band Midriff. |
