Artist description
The Good North have combined, soaring vocals, giant guitar sound, bouncy Cure-like bass lines, and ferocious drums to complete a sound that we believe
will be welcomed by those who enjoy melodic rock music.
Influenced by British rock bands over the last decade, we have written songs where, those bands, we have enjoyed, have left off.
If you like deep melancholic melodoes, and powerful choruses, you may find
solace in the music of The Good North.

Artist History
The members of The Good North met in the smoke-filled rock clubs of Boston, Massachusetts in the summer of 2001. A shared appreciation for music, and a desire to create dark, contemplative tunes led to basement jam sessions and plans to infiltrate the Boston rock scene
Blessed by a Britpop moon The good North, caught the attention of producer Jim McKeever (VH1, NBC) who invited them out to LA to record a three-song EP at Silent Sounds Studios.
After recording, The Good North returned to Boston to continue their assault on the local scene. Not to be missed shows at T.T. the Bear’s, the Sky Bar, and O’Brien’s quickly earned the band a faithful following of shoe-gazing fans with trendy glasses and nice haircuts.
The boys of The Good North are currently back in the studio again looking to expand upon the other dirtier side of their sonic equation to couple with the big chorus pop sound of the EP. |
