Artist History
Chamber 8 was formed in August of 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona, when the core songwriting tandem of Kevin Flowers and Gary J. Woodside started their reign of musical terror. Writing catchy, hook laden songs with an up tempo groove to make the crowd move remains their goal. After adding Terry Douglas on drums and finally Toby Revelle on bass guitar, they now use all their diverse influences, from bands both past and present, to write memorable and commercially viable songs. Crunchy guitars, driving bass and drums plus clean powerful vocals are the ingredients of Chamber 8's signature sound.
Shortly after their formation, Chamber 8 started gigging regularly in support of their 1st self recorded/self produced single “Like Me” and powerful b-side “United We Stand”. Both songs garnered much praise on local radio and promotional websites. It was also picked up for rotation by KABF 88.3 fm in Little Rock, AK, and was featured on their New Years Eve Special.
Chamber 8 has continued to gig, write, and record “as much as humanly possible while maintaining a family life”, and prides themselves on an energetic and powerful live show that gives the crowd something to look at instead of having to watch a bunch of guys stand still and look at their hands all night. One of their most memorably live shows was the night Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony of Van Halen “dropped by” and opened the show using Chamber 8’s own equipment. Chamber 8’s 1st brush with greatness, many more to come.
