    Artist description
Formed in 1997, Bel Air Saints is a rock and roll band; very intent and passionate to bring back what is real, with a new modern edge. In this time where many rock acts submerge the music fan in cheap melodrama, BAS wants to give rebirth to the true rock spirit. This band strives to bring fun, energy, and high-fashion back to the forgotten arts of songwriting and stage performance. Bel Air Saints' amazing *sing-along* hooks and rare live chemistry keep fans coming back for more, again and again. BAS are: Eric McPhaul (Vocals), Chad McPhaul (Guitar), Tim Lail (Drums), & Clyde Covington (Bass). Bel Air Saints has gained national recognition with their debut on "MTV's - TRL's Big Deal" as a result of winning a nationwide contest. Only eleven bands throughout the US were chosen for this elite and highly acclaimed event. At home, Bel Air Saints has performed in some of the biggest venues, sharing the stage with Godsmack, Lit, Skid Row, and Poison. Charlotte's premier rock station 106.5 WEND, continues to give BAS local airplay. The band is constantly writing and recording new material. BAS is always happy to offer fresh, powerful songs to unsuspecting listeners. This is a very exciting time, as Bel Air Saints continue to pursue a major record deal and become the new answer to rock and roll.

    Press Reviews
Some of their more recent local showings include an appearance at an "adult entertainment establishment," a pool party gig and another at an undisclosed bar that ended with the cops showing up (not to mention a floor covered in broken glass). Sounds like a rock & roll band if I've ever heard one -- literally! Although the BAS aren't ones to get overly excited by comparisons to Stone Temple Pilots, their strutting, along with their straight-ahead rock, does resemble that of Scott Weiland and Company. However, if you haven't had a chance to check out the Pilots' latest CD, I'm here to tell you the Saints are rockin' a lot harder these days than STP. The band's constantly pumping out new material, which I'm sure they'll be more than willing to showcase at one of their favorite rooms. -- Lynn Farris *BAS extends many special thanks to lynn farris at creative loafing...
