The World of Nicolas Mazmanian
A pupil of Edouard Exerjean and Georges Boeuf, and winner of the Henri Sauget Competition held in Martigues, France, Nicolas Mazmanian has composed an astonishingly radiant and peaceful work inspired by William Conrad, a book by Pierre Boule.
This musical journey is divided into two movements, the first evoking a dawn awakening, the second a tranquil afternoon prelude to festivities, with an atmosphere that recalls the universe of Danny Elfman, Tim Burton's collaborator.
Well worth discovering, not least for the exceptionally inspired interpretation by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
