Artist History
Most teenage bands never make it out of their garage, but with less than a year of playing together, Mutiny Gone Overboard have already proven themselves succesful. 2001, the band made a good name for themselves through out the province. Armed with a few guitars, bodhrans, and flutes and an eclectic repertoire, they have taken their music from Surrey to Salmon Arm. The band is made up of four teenagers from Surrey- Jordan, Paddy, Nathan, and Katie. They quickly developed a repertoire of traditional Irish pub songs, rollicking maritime numbers, crowd-pleasing originals, and merged them with country, folk, and pop elements which gives the band a distinct Celtic folk/pop sound. Using their stage presence and ability to get the crowd involved, they are quickly developing a growing, loyal fan base of all ages. In fact, this year M.G.O. were semi-finalists in the Shaw Star Discovery at the Pacific National Exhibition. Come check them out now so you can say you knew them way back when... |
