Artist History
DJ Since: 1994
Influences: DJ ICEY, JOSH WINK, 4 PEACE
Music Type: Funky Breaks, Progressive, Big Beat, Drum & Bass
DJ Scan (Sean) began his love affair with electronic music in 1994 when he spent time at the Big House promoting parties with a local hero, 4-Peace.
It was then, in 1994, that he began to spin breaks. After getting his talent fine tuned he then decided to delve into Progressive House. His musical tastes then turned to Big Beat, with his final genre of choice being Progressive Trance.
DJ Scan's first big break came in 1999 when DJ Love invited him to step in for him at the Lizard Lounge. His next big life-changing experience was when he made a guest appearance in Scotland. Since returning to the Stateside, DJ Scan has steadily played at various events, gaining a solid fan base and perfecting his skills behind the decks.
Over the years DJ Scan has flirted with all different genres, and has had many influences on his artistic career, from DJ's such as, DJ Icey, Josh Wink, Rob Vaughn, The Hardkiss Brothers, and the Chemical Brothers. Ultimately though, his heart and soul as an artists has come to roost with progressive trance.
In the present and future, DJ Scan sees himself doing nothing else in life but pleasing the masses with peaceful vibes and translucent sounds.
