Artist description
Amy Campbell, a recovering girl-band member, is returning to her solo acoustic roots. As a performing songwriter she brings her classical training and folk sensibilities together to create music that reaches into human experience and comes back with stories written from the soul. Her voice shifts its source from melancholy to weightless and back down to a low rasp, taking the listener on a different journey with each song.
Campbell is a founding partner of Battleaxe Folk, a female-centric record label, artist management and film production company, and this fall will mark the release of her first solo album, Seven Sundays in Sonic Valley.
