Artist History
In 1998, Rich Martel and Tammy Schatz met in the Newburyport, MA band "The Rub". The band lasted approximately a year. In October 2000, the Rich and Tammy reunited to score the short film "Lemonade" by independent film producer, writer and director Maria Malara. Recording was completed in December 2000 and they realized they had something special. Jon "Rhino" Mendell (bass) and John Kokas (drums) completed the lineup until the summer of 2002. In June 2002, CJ Cunningham replaced Rhino on bass and in November 2002, Dan Crowley entered on drums. CJ and Dan previously played together in the band Rhythm Junkies and now provide Rude Toys with a solid rhythm section.
