Artist History
Lyle King, Joe Tymecki and Aaron Ritchie formed
Quadraphonic with drummer Kirk Neale shortly after
the spring of 1998. Lyle, Joe and Aaron had been
in a band together called Fantasy and were looking
to continue their love of music together but wanted
to explore new styles. They began as a rock and roll
cover band and during their two year career they
wrote and recorded demos of quite a few impressive
songs. When the band split up in 2000 because of
personal differences and scheduling conflicts
the band's ongoing internal battles over style and
attitude came to a hault. While the music was
great the abrupt breakup of the band left only
rough demos of most of the songs they had been
working on. Unfortunately the band has not been
able to get back together to record a CD yet even
though they have all shown interest in doing so.
Lyle went on with his solo acoustic singer songwriter
career while Joe signed on with another rock group
called Goat Haven. Aaron jumped between a few bands
including Fortune's Foe and Kirk played in a hard core
band for a while. For about six months Lyle and Aaron
played together again in a band called My 2 Dollars but
besides that the four members have had little to do
with each other musically (with the exception of Lyle
and Aaron who worked in the studio together a few
times). Hopefully their plan of getting together
to record a more professional album of their songs
will work out soon. |
