Artist History GafilteFlush formed in the summer of 2000. The three founder-members: Dan Arboleda, Mark Antinozzi, and Hans Martenson worked together at a place just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hans's old band had just broke up when Mark asked Hans to jam. While they were jamming, Dan who had known Mark for many years and had a practice space in the same building, stopped by. The three started jamming and they quickly realized the musical potential that they had. GafilteFlush is unique in both their approach to creating music and the music itself. Mark and Dan switch off between guitar/vocals and drums. This gives the band a very multi-dimensional sound. The songs that Mark sings on have a completely different feel than the songs that Dan sings on. In addition to different playing arrangements, GafilteFlush's members have very different musical tastes. Dan brings a very straight- forward heavy metal sensibility. He adds slow, yet incredibly melodic guitar riffs with low, grinding screamed vocals. Mark brings elements of industrial music as well as an incredibly expressive singing voice. Hans adds elements of jazz and and a melodic presence not traditionally found in metal bass players. GafilteFlush has survived breakups, broken bones, arguments, and emotional instability to emerge as a band that's revered for it's originallity, diversity, talent, and intensity.
