Artist description es.tee. (1979-?) - (name caused by expanding initials: "s" and "t"), real name Taras Strypko, born in Kaniv, Ukraine, now living in Kyiv, Ukraine. Working in IT industry: serving networks, developing software etc. Much affected by Art of Music, have a huge colection of different styles of various times. For some years have composed myself.

Artist History In early childhood i was taught to play violin and piano. However, it was mainly my parent's "idee fix" to give me "a taste for fine arts", not my, so it caused no much enthusiasm and didn't influence my interest in music anyhow... Also my mother likes to recall that being 2-3 yrs. old i liked to listen to classic composers, i can't proove that, so if it had some impact on me, i suppose it was only on subconscious level ... First time i started to realize my ideas with my friends somewhere in 1995. Together we had much enthusiasm, but ... no more: no true instruments, no opportunities, no even skills to play - only desire to make fun. I remember those great parties (who doesn't call his school years the best time!), one (John) was playing homemade e-guitar, other (Dima) "drums" (also homemade, btw), Max was "violating" violin, i was sometimes playing piano, sometimes acted as sound-engeneer ... My first serious attempt happened after becoming my first PC, in 1996. And the real inspiration overflowed me next year (1997), i was greatly impressed how my works on st3 (Scream Tracker) sounded on good loudspeakers ... Some time after, i was disappointed many times, listening to the real masters (my pref. of that time - Mike Oldfield). The characteristic feature of my works is that they are in the state of permanent (re-)creation. I do often return to my early works, trying to fresh them up according to the spirit of times. A chance to catch the moment - to "fix-up" dozens of my works, happened after publishing my first CD "DEMOWERKS", which is completely represented here, at MP3.COM. From time to time i return to composing, however i don't expact to be heard by aLL the worls, as it was in the beginning ... Sometimes listening to that was always played in my head, i realized that things i brought to life was so far away from those of my inner world ... Flowing between inner and outer, immaginary and real, wishfull and actual lasts hitherto ... Even so long ago after finishing making my own music ... /Warszawa, 15.vi.2002/
