Artist description Custom is a tough guy to do a "25-words-or-less" on. He's a true dichotomy - on first glance, he's a low-key, twenty-something, 6-foot-8 "dude," complete with the skate pants hanging half-way down his ass. But closer inspection reveals a complex, ultra- sensitive, multi-talented artist. A dedicated New Yorker at heart, Custom lives in an industrial loft in lower Manhattan, a place he calls "120." He thrives on the 24-hours-a-day energy of the City, and as a natural chameleon, gets much of his inspiration from its people, its streets, clubs, and bars. The loft is a haven for a tight-knit collective of friends that includes artists, musicians, and writers. If Custom has errands to run, he'll jump into Liberty (or "Libby"), his undercover cop car - it's not flashy, he can blend in, and he gets great parking spaces. If he's visiting a friend close by, he'll opt for the skateboard as transportation. The current "love of Custom's life" is not a tall, gorgeous, leggy blonde, but a KTM 640 Austrian enduro bike - a motocross bike that he considers a piece of art and keeps inside "120" at night on a specially-built stand. Again, the dichotomy - Custom, an extreme sports enthusiast, has taken the cross-country sport of motocross and molded it into his own urban activity. Custom has a wry and quirky sense of humor, as well as an uncanny ability to weave words together that take you on adventures down the rabbit hole. These talents are apparent on his debut CD, Fast. All thirteen tracks were written and produced by Custom, who also played most of the instruments, and recorded in the studio he built at "120."
