Artist description
Covert Community is an experimental jam band that takes some if its musical cues from Sonic Youth and Phish. We are currently on hiatus, because two of our members (John and Al) are in college, and Matt has rejoined Alchemy (an experimental/emo band, also from Dayton).

Artist History
We formed with the first lineup of Matt Reker and Al Harley in September 2000, to record our first homemade demo, epynonympously titled. Shortly after the completion of the self titled demo, John Roland, an excellent but mostly unknown bass player, joined CC, cementing the core of the lineup. After a couple lineup changes and heated exchanges, the band finally completed the followup, the double album Spydor in early August of 2001. |
