Artist History Risen from the ashes of Chainlink in Tyler, TX, Derision consists of three of the four founding members of that band. When Chainlink broke up, guitarrist Jeff Kelley and bassist Josh Payne decided to return to their roots and brought drummer Scott Penney, who quit Chainlink shortly after the band played it's first show, back into the mix. After jamming with several vocalist, they found the person they looking for in the form of Paul Gasparro, a mutual friend of the band who was also looking for a musical outlet, at the time. After one jam session, they knew Paul was the guy they had been searching for, all along. With their lineup secured, Derision is ready to unleash their own unique brand of metal fury upon a world that may not be ready for it.
