Artist description
Purity in sound, innocence in expression, the wonder of a child
who looks upon the world for the first time. Electronic, catchy,
moody, transcendant, upbeat, downbeat, happy, sad, still,
alive.
You could call this "Electronica", maybe "Drum N Bass".
But you want to put this in a "genre"?... It is beautiful, sweet, it
is innocent and naive; to contain it, to boundary it with a "type",
is to corrupt it. The judgements of some "association" that
serves only to make it familiar to those without the imagination
to see it for what it is. To label it, to make it recognisable to
those unable to capture it on its own terms.
To dissect it into easily digestible chunks? Maybe you can do
this with a wild animal, or a plant - but can you do it to a sunset?
A waterfall?
This is CoolCapture - too cool to capture, too cool to set free.

Artist History
I'm 25 and have been making music for over 10 years. I've done the music for a couple of computer games, screamed lead vocals in a Nirvana-type band and recorded about 5 albums-worth of original material - various styles of music - over the years. I also improvised the score to a 7 minute animated short film with a friend. I can play a whole bunch of instruments, but my favourite is all of them at once - and I can only do that with the help of a computer. Hence the creation of this, my main electronic project - CoolCapture. If you're listening to it - thanks! And I really hope you get even half as much joy and cartharsis out of it as I do! |
