Artist description
A hot new Producer / Rapper striaght outa the sunshine state, ready to showcase his skills for the world to see.
Tha Chief is the founder of a small record label Intitled
Savage Indian Records. His beats can only be described as original, and he has the ability to create hits, with a little time, Chief can turn even the wackest of tracks into hits.
His flow, Is rough and tough, Spittin hard rymes that have the force to knock you down.
Tha chief comes top notch on all of his work, this would not exclude his lyrics,
were the chief can be known to spit fire, however tha Chief most definetly has a gentle side, and many of his flow can be inspired about hard times.
But for the most part Chief writes his rymes based on one thing, Emotions, the Chief uses his music to release his feelings. |

Artist History
Back in late 97, a boy by the name of Daniel S. Tomas
had a vision of building his own record empire, only 15
at the time Chief quickly learned how hard it would be. He looked up to the top producers
of the late 90's such as P. Diddy and Masterp,
people who at that time were at the top of there game,
releasing gold and platinum c.d.'s left and right.
Chief first gathered up a total of 3 other members to join him on his ques,
His partner in Crime Troop (alex reddick) His best friend and brother matt richie (deno)
and another best friend Kieth stahl (melow).
At first chief and his team of 3 started off like any other underground rappers with a dream,
they would bootlegg beats from other people and spit bullshit rymes over top bad quality tapes.
Things were not looking good, all the music being put out by this fantasy label was garbage at best.
It seemed as though things were goin down hill and already the Chiefs dreams were fading out.
virtually no fan base did not help. The things took another downward turn.
January 1998, the night before super bowl sunday, the Packers Vs the Broncos, Chief was over at friend and label mate
Kieth stahls house recording. when the phone rang. It was the chiefs father.
Chiefs father came to the house to tell Chief the news, ... tragedy had struck late the night
before Chiefs sister, Myra had been killed. Things were not good, Chief then went home to comfort his mother.
The night before the funeral Chief gathered up Deno, melow, and close friend Mike backlund, and they wrote and recorded,
"Shine, a song for Myra". another poorly recorded track although very heart felt.
With this there seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Chief re grouped and had a mission.
First Chief realized that were gonna have to have better equipment, so Chief worked up over 700$ and bought a new mixer and a c.d recorder.
Then Chief realized that they could no longer keep using other peoples Instrumental if they wanted to make it,
So he invested in a crappy 200$ keyboard. At first the beats werent the best But chief eventually (working day and night for a year) learned how to make some nice beats. Things were starting to look up. And chiefs dream was alive once agian.
Chief, a year before, had talked to several other people he met in high school that had the vision to rap, Arson, (Carlos perez), and Lil' Sheri (Xica Nelson)
and with what he had now Chief was able to bring them into the picture. In early 1999
chief and troop droped there 1st completly S.I.R. produced track
self intitled "S.I.R." it got not the best reviews however it was completly original.
Mid 1999 Arson introduces another rapper to chief, this would be Johnny Valentine (luciano).
And in late 1999 the first track to really give the people in S.I.R. in hope was made. "We savages"
a more of an east coast track featuring Luciano, Arson, and Chief.
This track had much better reviews, and with this Chief decided to drop The "La familia" compilation C.D. (name was thought of before jay-z droped his album).
But the times were not working for the Chief and the people in s.i.r.
SOmthin would come up keeping the album from ever getting made. Plus the way they recorded was not profesional,
it was all on one track, with everyone having a mic and if someone messed up the song would have to be completly redone.
Then Troop got thrown in jail ... so recording was dated back further, then tragedy struck agian on Christmas when Chief recieved word that his brother Joseph
had been killed, once agian things looked bad and for months nothing was accomplished.
Until early 200 when things started lookin up once agian.
This is when Chief started makin payments on a 2000$ keyboard (and still is)This took his beats to a hole new production level.
Then even more good news, Chief recieved word one day from a mutaul friend of the local but by far the most popular group in the city (originally called the gorillaz, but now called D.S.T.S.)was feelin his beats.
Chief at 1st produced one track on there first album then produced there hole second album.
And things were looking bright once agian. With the new keyboard the quality was almost at its best minus the fact of only being able to record on one track...... but even withthat flaw they were still droppping explsive tracks.
late 2000 the first album ever was put out by S.I.R. completly produced by the chief.
Menace solo album - Lay em' flat. Menace from the group D.S.T.S. droped his own album and it quickly grew to be the talk of the town.
Featuring "You dont know me" a track that became to be a very popular download on the internet with stats reachin over a thousand downloads, (that may not be alot to ya'll but it was big for us).
The another big turn in early 2001, a friend of Chief, Daniel Armas (ark-x)helped chief out with recording equipment for his computer, FINALLY, multiple track recording, matter of fact and unlimited number of tracks to record on.
All together ARK-X helped Chief to over 5,000$ of programs for his computer. Now all the songs were the best quality and things started moving along.
Now 2 albums are in the works and will prolly be done in the next few months , The D.S.T.S. album and The Tribe compilation album (used to be la familia).
But although sucess is looking better everyday, not everything that held up at the begining held up all the way threw. Some people are no longer performers with Chief and S.I.R.
Deno : He got married and has a kid on the way
Melow: He's in Jail
Luciano: After dropping some hot tracks and leaving some acapellas behind he left to the military.
Lil' Sheri: She also took off to the military but not without leaving some acapellas
All the people with Chief in S.I.R.:
Arson ------
Menace ----- these to cats are Chiefs partners in crime buiness wise.
D.S.T.S. (Lil' Riece, P.I.G., Menace, Trouble, #1Gorilla)
Sean Dread - Reggae performer Originally from the Virgin islands
Luciano
Lil' Sheri
Wade
Jeff walker - S.I.R.'s R&B singer however he is alson in the military
