"---From the song, Hip Hop Truck The line above pretty much sums up what Tony Roberts is all about: Music that is laid back and straight forward. It's not so much rock as it is roll. It's modern without forgetting influences. It is lyrical, physical, sensual, comical, bendable but not breakable. It is rhythmic and acoustic, subtle and dynamic, simple yet powerful. It is songs about people and places you've been. It is the feeling that you've never heard the song before but you know all the words and exactly what it's about because you could have written that song. This is a guy that just wants to play because it's what he loves to do. Since 2000 Tony (the singer/songwriter behind Mindflow) has lived and played in Key West, FL- London, England- Vancouver, Canada and is now currently based out of his hometown of Boston, MA. After years of touring with Mindflow and all it's various members, in 2001 Tony returned to the basics of simple acoustic songs and performances- playing coffee houses, subways and street corners. In 2002 Tony teamed up with producer, Anthony Resta (Shawn Mullins and Collective Soul) and began work on his first solo album which is set for release the summer of 2003. The album features members of the Boston bands: The Mudhens, Division St. and Two Ton Shoe as well as old members of Mindflow. Incorporating modern ideas with simple songs and great performances, the album is a mix of studio tracks and the live acoustic performances that have capitavated audiences for years.
