Artist description
Heavy, detuned guitars, throaty vocals with thoughtful
lyrics.. Energetic and powerful music that doesn't
take itself too seriously. If you like any one of the
bands listed in the "sounds like" field, you'll
probably find something that'll grab you. |
 |
Music Style
Heavy enough to make you wanna kick your dog. |
 |
Musical Influences
Way too diverse to get into here |

Artist History
Formed in Jan. '97, This Was Your Life has under-
gone membership changes, their share of hard times
and a ton of growth. TWYL's played with several
national artists, including opening spots for Dog
Fashion Disco, Boiler, and Compression. They rip tits.
Unfortunately, they're defunct. If you're down with TWYL,
you'll definitely love Tu Madre (http://www.mp3.com/tumadre),
cuz Tu Madre features ex-TWYL members, vocalist Josh Nelson &
guitarist Matt Defir. In fact, the 3 tracks off of the newest TWYL demo
"Plowing Her South Forty" have wormed their way into Tu Madre's set.
Don't miss the opportunity to check these guys out! |
