Artist description We are shiver. We are from Cedar Falls, IA. Our goal is to combine elements of emo, indie, metal, and hardcore in a tasteful, sensible way. We believe that music should be a whole spectrum of emotions, since that’s what we feel. We aren’t just angry. We aren’t just happy. We aren’t just sad. We are all of these at different times, so we try to tastefully incorporate all these feelings without being inconsistent in our sound. We started like most bands as friends playing together for fun. But we didn’t leave it at that. We wanted to take it further, because making a living out of being musicians is our dream. We had a few member changes, before finding out who really wanted to pursue making it in a band. The fact that some of us have been in this same band since we were kids is a good reflection of our dedication and work ethic. Six years after that first childhood jam session, the current line-up is as follows: Tom Kelly – Vocals Jordan Shafer – Guitar John Burtch – Bass Josh Sparks – Drums Our live show is something we take great pride in. Music is a very expressive vehicle for us, and shows only let us express ourselves even more. We have a lot of energy when we play. Movement while playing really helps us express ourselves, and coincidentally makes for a more entertaining show. Some might say it’s a type of dance, but that makes it sound like it’s choreographed, which is not the case. Plain and simple: music inspires us to want to move our bodies. Almost anyone can attest to that. We just self pressed and released our second EP entitled “Kissing The Air”. We are very proud of this six-song effort, and are in the process of shopping around to labels. We believe this CD captures the intensity of our live shows but with the sound quality of a semi-professional recording. It was recorded in 3 days at Logic Studio in Minneapolis, MN with Brian Bart, who has worked with Devil Inside (Now or Never Records) and American Head Charge. We are now gearing up to tour, tour, and tour some more after that. We are determined to play as many shows as possible, because it’s what we love to do. With the help of our CD we will accomplish whatever we’re out to do.
