sixo is an alt-indie doomsday pop manifestation
that puts out music. taking lo-fi experimentation
and pop sensibilities and mixing it with modern day
cynicism, sixo satisfies the mind and heart with
intelligent, emotionally raw songwriting.

Artist History
1996: sixo releases first album, a self titled home recorded monstrosity that set them out to conquer the world.
1997: won the southeast regional of the grammy showcase, voted best alternative band by the miami new times, released their second cd "rescue"
1998: performed for the lmnop music conference in new orleans, played zeta fest (w/black crowes and stabbing westward), put out their third cd "wait and see".
1999: chosen to play bonsai (zete 94.9 concert w/buck cherry and econoline crush), opened for latin rock bands los fabulosos cadillacs and atiersopelados, performing a bilingual set.
2000: released their fourth, "the blue module".
2001: began building home studio, became recluses as they learned the trade. new ep in the works.
in the course of our history sixo has:
completed five east coast tours in support of the albums, over 300 college radio stations adding them to their playlist.
sixo songs have been used in burdines radio and tv commercials, mtv's road rules, and disney's z-games.
sixo recorded a live album at nyc's legendary cbgb's, but it sits on the shelf cause we're lazy.
2002 is turning out to be a busy year; a new cd will be released, new members will be inducted, and a new sound will be forged using all the wonderful gadgets we've learned to use.
we're going to have fun.
