Artist History
The two gentlemen (term used loosely), Mr. Murtaugh and JZ grew up in the Washington D.C. suburb of McLean, Virginia where they met in the 8th grade. Since their association which began in 1975, the two went through various phases of blah, blah but maintained contact and continued to adventure. In 1993 two members were added; a bassist named Chris Gancer and an actual female drummer named Jenny. This particular formation disassembled following one gig. Not that the gig went badly or that there was any disliking among the members. Simply, Jenny and Chris were into Jimmy Buffet and Mr. Murtaugh and JZ were not. Mr. Murtaugh and JZ went on to focus primarily on recording material using a TASCAM 4-track the two jointly purchased for $300. Recordings of these sessions still exist and are widely sought after by collectors (just kidding).
Fast forward to the end of 2001 and the band is gathering ideas and experimenting with some new recording equipment that JZ's wife so graciously donated. Collaboration is done via fax/telephone/modem and the odd face to face.
Thanks for your time. |
