Artist description
Matthew Campagna dabbles in guitar-based alternative and pop. In the past, his music has spanned genres including folk, grunge, industrial, rock, and pop. Most recently, he has rooted himself primarily in rock and pop, leaving the others to lie as strange experimentals that rarely see the light of day. By turns very personal and completely senseless, his words represent a writer who is more accustomed to writing poetry than song lyrics. |

Artist History
A hobby musician who occasionally makes appearances at open mic venues, Matthew has never been paid for his music, and really doesn't expect to be. "It's a labor of love," he says, "and so long as someone is listening, that's all I ask." Matthew has been recording music in small spats since 1996, always collaborating on recorded material with his good friend, Don Zabitka. "Don really helps to shape the songs. I write them, but he really helps me to flesh them out. He's been a blessing; I've found a producer, studio musician, musical accomplice, and wonderful friend, all in one package." |
