Artist description
The Names are a San Francisco Bay Area trio, mixing a concoction of catchy melodies, jangled textures, and big vocals into heady songs,
always with a hook, and usually with some discrete sophistication. They blend all this in one post-modern sounding band, using electric
guitar, bass, and drums. |

Artist History
Mick and John began performing together right out
of high school in 1989. After going through several drummers,
an independent label offer, career changes, moving, and
the disbanding of The Names, Mick and John decided to get
back together in 1996. Soon after, they met Eric
Johannesson, realized a common love of music, and have
been performing together as The Names ever since. |
