Artist History
long, long ago there were seals. seals of enormous size and possessing of incredible intelligence and perception. these seals had discovered the concept of universal interconnectivity and were able to feel the dissonance and harmonies around them. they developed the art of sonic induction, which enabled them to influence and control events by setting up complex sonic frequency patterns and distortions. a great catastrophe was coming to the earth, and with a successful but fatal attempt to stop this from happening, almost the entire population of seals was wiped out. millions of years later, during an archaelogical expedition, scientists uncovered the frozen remains of the last seals. the remains thawed and, by unwittingly completeing an ancient ritual, one of the scientists released them from their slumber. the seals woke and began playing their music. the music was too chaotic and too powerful for the humans to understand, and they were all killed by their own mental limitations. all that is, but one.
a young boy named illium survived and was accepted as an equal by the seals. they taught him their ancient art of sonic induction, and he vowed to bring this knowledge to the rest of the world. the seals feared that the rest of humanity would react as badly as the scientists did, and that it would not be good to teach them this, so illium decided to utilize one of the most powerful known forces in human culture... pop music. by diluting the original sound of seals music with pop music, he hoped to slowly subvert the minds of his listeners. this is the first incarnation of that project.
