Artist description
pHluid is a dynamic group of a handful of musicians from different parts of the globe who specialize insequencing music on their PCs. The software the majority of the group uses are freeware "moduletrackers" (e.g. Fast Tracker, Impulse Tracker), a combination of MIDI-like sequencing and digital samplers that has existed for the most part in asemi-underground Scene on the Internet since the early 90s. The raw power of the trackers is unleashed with the limitless creativity of the pHluid musicians. pHluid's musical influences span a wide variety of genres and helped shaped its unique sounds. The results? An audio experience that incorporates techno, ambient, jazz, breakbeat, and even some classical. pHluid was formed in 1994 as a subdivision of the long-running Internet digital artgroup, ACiD (www.acid.org). pHluid and ACiD together provide the Internet community (and beyond) with free, high-quality audio and video art. Thanks for listening. |
