Artist History
My Strange Friend has been a long time in the making. The band name seems fitting after all the weird people that have influenced our story.
The Steve And Bret Story -- Steve and Bret met way back in high school... two geeks with guitars. Steve could play everything; Bret nothing. Undaunted, they formed a
band, The Rubber Band Band. One gig, One song... suckage. Graduation... College bound... new bands... all covers... more suckage.
But things change... In 1991, Bret dropped by Tara's house to visit her roommate (Sarah). There was a piano in the living room and while Bret waited for Sarah to come
out of her room he played Floyd on the piano. Tara sang along. He kept playing different songs and she kept singing along. It seemed they shared a love for a lot of the
same music. |
