Artist History
The members of Muddy Dove all grew up within a mile of each other in a rock and roll town in upstate NY. Although the band grew up together, they all have followed different paths in the music world. Marc Ryan is a talented and energetic singer/songwriter who plays a sweetly singing Les Paul ( among other guitars ) in a style reminicient of the late sixties/early seventies greats Dickie Betts and Eric Clapton. Rick and Mike Starmer, keyboard player and drummer, writers, arrangers and producers are two brothers from a musical family that have played music from NY to LA. Touring and Recording for Arista, Atlantic, Capitol and CBS, they have played along side some of the greats of rock and roll. Tom Gath has most recently been heading up “The Styles Band” playing classic rock cover tunes around the central NY region for the past ten years. All of the members have been in multiple bands with or without each other for years and have seen decades of musicianship. Muddy Dove delivers timeless tales from the heart and mind, with lyrics from the soul wrapped into a powerful, melodic brand of original rock. |
