Artist description A band that hails from one of the biggest action cities in the world has gotta be damn good at entertaining! Fact Meets Fiction, hailing from the city of Las Vegas, has no problem fulfilling this feat. True Maudsley, Fred Collins, and Nick Fiore make up this band that is nothing short of spectacular. The band first emerged on the scene with their self-titled EP in January 1998 on New West Records. Tom Baker, whose credits include Alien Ant Farm, Fuel, and Tommy Lee, among others, mastered this. Scratching the Surface, was a ‘7-track’ CD which was released in April 1999 with production and engineering by members of the band themselves! The band’s first full length CD, Damaged Goods, hit stores in November 2001. Once again, production was done by Fact meets Fiction! Tom Baker stepped in a second time to work his ‘mastering magic’, helping create a truly awesome debut album for this group of talented musicians. The song “Marianne”, enjoyed 3 weeks at the #1 spot and “Feed The Machine”, spent 1 week at the #5 spot on the LVlocalmusicscene.com ‘most downloaded songs’ list. Lvlocalmusicscene is a Las Vegas based website that caters to local musicians of all genres, allowing them to show off their talents. FmF has recently signed contracts with the international music publishing companies Deevel Marketing and Promotions and Attackin Tunes/ Cherry Lane Music Publishing. This gives FmF the chance to reach fans across the globe through radio stations and film and television soundtracks. With two greatly successful CDs, one of which is still being recognized, and a tour on the horizon, FmF is a promising band that’s already making it’s way to well-deserved success.
