Artist History blood for vanity was born in early 1996 in a suburb of Atlanta Ga....i began recording with nothing more that a cassette 4 track and a guitar..the band just grew out of that tiny studio. the technology has only increased my ability to articulate what's inside my head. I have released two EP's Slavestate & Nachtmusik...tracks from both are included on the distract cd available here @ mp3.com..I will soon begin working on a new full length album...I can't wait to really try out some of the new gear i have. the reason why i began this project remains simple...get everything that pisses me off out of my head using tons of electronic devices...it's great therapy...

Press Reviews shades of NIN are present in gearlock (fracture mix) with the tortured whisper vocals and heavily distorted music bursts. some of the drum sounds are a little weak for the heavy style but others are perfectly suited. distorted samples of possible death, mayhem, torture, terror, psychosis - take your pick - spice up the background in a most vile and nasty way (that's not a negative btw). an evil tune with twisted church organ melodies, enjoyable. love the beginning of lies (distorted truth mix) with the he was cruel and a sadist newscaster or movie sample and 50's sci-fi (twilight zone) melody. and from that joyful beginning, blood for vanity takes a wumpscut dive into distorted harshness and evil vocal treatments. "lies" and "fucking lies" were the only lyrics i could make out and i think it's safe to assume this song is an angry aural assault on some poor soul(s). whatever the motivation, lies (distorted truth mix) with its harsh blend of crunching guitar and vocal insanity is a good industrial rock outing that doesn't stray far from the standard approach.-RAW42 review
