Artist History
WHITE FROGS was born back in 1993, when the Brazilian punk scene was starting to reborn. The first 7" EP was released in Brazil by Low Life Records in 1994 and it projected the band for a higher audience. After this piece, the band edited other EPs outside Brazil and appeared on tons of CDs and vinyl compilations around the world. "Be Positive", a 3 way CD with local Santos fellas of Blind and Twin Puppets was released in Europe, in 1995 by Low Life Recs. After this one, the band started playing bigger gigs in Brazil and ended opening gigs for bands as Bad Religion, NOFX, Agent Orange, Millencolin, No Fun at All, Agent Orange, Shelter, Lag Wagon, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Man or Astro Man. The White Frogs also toured Brazil with Down by Law and the state of São Paulo with Rhythm Collision. The band also played in United States in 1999 at the Black Cat, in Washington D.C.. The first full length CD was released in 1997. "Urban Songs" became a must to the hardcore fans. It is sold out and out of printing nowadays. The first five years of the band was re-released at the CD "Choices-Made 93-98". It features 27 songs that the band produced on it's early years. The third full length was released in the year 2.000. "Twenty One Jay" was recorded at Coyote Studios, in Broklyn - N.Y.C. - USA. It features 22 songs and was produced by punk legend Dave Smalley and the ska "guru" Victor Rice. The album also features, as guests, the participation of Brian Baker on guitar, Jay Robins, Bufford O'Sullivan, Keith D. and others. ...................................................................................................................................
