Artist description
Take Nickleback ... mix it with some Sevendust and add a pinch of Stereomud. This is talent with a bit of smarts thrown in. The mix kix, the vox rox and power is effervescent ... down to the soul (Garage Radio 10/02).
Immedia is the creative vision of TODD CHARRON (drums), DEREK COLE (bass / guitar / keys), Mark Essick ( guitar), AND JASON CORDELL (vocals). Although the musical influences of these four musicians is diverse, they share a variety of common factors like dedication, drive and talent. Genres such as Rock, Alternative, Goth or Metal are all too narrow to be appropriate labels. Immedia favors subtle synth hooks layered with smooth guitar and vocal melodies.
Immedia is exploding onto the Florida Music Scene. Their many accomplishments include being featured on the 2001 New Music Odyssey from Garudio Records. In addition, Immedia has had well received air play on 95.1 WBVD (their single “Trippin” was played regularly until the station switched formats), Real Rock 101.1's Native Noise (f/k/a WJRR) and the Philips Phile on Real Radio 104.1. “Trippin” was also featured on the hit T.V. Show "BMX Coast to Coast" as broadcast on the Sunshine Network. Most recently, Immedia was nominated for “Best Rock Band” in the prestigious Orlando People’s Choice Music Awards.
Immedia plays with a passion and ease that is impossible to ignore. This comes through abundantly clear in their live performances. Immedia's highly anticipated full length CD will be released in the Fall of 2002. In the meantime check them out at www.garudio.com. Press Reviews
GARAGE RADIO 10/02: Take Nickleback ... mix it with some Sevendust and add a pinch of Stereomud. Shaken and stirred ... This is a very cool band. I am a metalhead from the 80s and felt a lot of energy coming out these guys. They love what they do and it shows in their music. This is talent with a bit of smarts thrown in. Immedia had me learning their lyrics after listening twice. I have to say ... I WOULD LOVE TO ADD THIS BAND TO MY CD COLLECTION. The mix kix, the vox rox and power is effervescent ... down to the soul.
CONNECTIONS MAGAZINE 5/02: Immedia combines a massive industrial wall of sometimes heavy, sometimes trippy guitars, pounding rhythms, thick synths and emotional vocals into an exploding package of aural energy. Like pyromaniacs . . . Immedia have been steadily spreading their contagious fire all over the Florida music scene.
BREVARD LIVE: Immediate Media. That's how Brevard County
Techno-Rock act, Immedia, got their name . . . This band has been popping up all over Central Florida.
In case you've missed 'em, they've got a . . . very hip 90's rock vibe that separates them from just about anybody 'round these parts.
Don't expect to find these guys traveling down memory lane at
the local "classic rock" joint, exploring a medly of Steppenwolf and Skynyrd hits.
What you will find is an exciting new band that's worth going to see.
