Artist History
Eric David Wright moved to Myrtle Beach in early
1997. A year later he met Kevin Hancheck at St.
James Middle School (they are both teachers).
They soon struck up a friendship and the two
began singing and playing cover songs together.
One evening, they decided to write a song
together, which opened Kevin's creative floodgate.
Soon Kevin had written over 20 songs. Kevin and
Eric began recording demos of their work which
quickly caught the attention of Brian Hancheck,
Kevin's younger brother. He signed on, and Haskell 3
was born. The search now began for the last piece
of the puzzle. A friend of Kevin and Eric introduced
them to Shakes, a local DJ at a rock radio station.
The first jam out session could be described as
"magical." This was February of 2000. By March
Haskell 3 had recorded a demo of four songs that
they began to sell to friends and began booking
shows. Hakell 3 has played with the likes of
Echo 7, Sourwood Honey, and Grammy Award nominated, Bowling for Soup which
is featured on the Jimmy Neutron soundtrack.
Haskell 3 is currently in the studio recording their
first major label release. |
