Artist History
The idea of starting the band occurred in 1992, when Sergio (guitar), Marcelo (vocal) and Hamilton (drums), met together at a Rock Festival and started complaining how good Traditional Heavy Metal bands were missing. A few days later, they began to jam some covers as, Saxon, Picture, Judas Priest, AC/DC, etc, but they didn’t take it too much serious. In 1995, Gustavo (Marcelo’s brother), who has been following the band since the beginning, decided to start playing bass to join the band. One year after that the band came back to the jamming. In 1998 they realised that the 20th Anniversary of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal would be celebrated and they had to do something about it. So a list of some of best bands of that era was made and the rehearsals started (serious for the first time), and along with songs from Saxon, Angel Witch, Gaskin, White Spirit, Diamond Head, Holocaust, etc., they began to write songs to do some gigs as DENIM AND LEATHER – N.W.O.B.H.M. TRIBUTE BAND. The first promo-tape is untitled “We Wear...”, it was recorded in 2000, and have two of their own songs (“More You Sweat” and “Lot To Lose”) and one cover/medley of Witchfinder General. On Setember/2001, they recorded the new promo-cd, it is untitled “Too Damn Loud!” and contain 3 of their own songs (“Watch Out”, “Hatred” and “Fist In The Air”) and a Tygers Of Pan Tang’s cover. The CD-R of “Too Damn Loud!” includes as a bonus track the three songs from “We Wear...” |
