Artist History In the far reaches of the galaxy, or at least Spain, there dwelt a young superhero with an innate gift for polyrhythms and one-handed keyboard tomfoolery. His name was Saturn Incredible Man, better known as Saturn Incredible Man. He was nice and always made his bed. Having sold his land for four cents an acre, young David Geschwendt of the Mic Mac indian heritage decided to go where no Native American has gone before: college...I mean Spain. He was in town for "El Musica de Jerry Lewis estrella estupenda" when he bumped into Saturn Incredible Man, who was selling his homemade beef jerky outside the venue. Dave said, "You know, I can't resist a hearty slab of cow." Obviously overjoyed, Saturn Incredible Man replied, "Me siento como millon de caballos que derrotan un castillo." And so a musical partnership was born. One night while trying to steal an elephant from the circus, Dave said, "This will never do. We need more than one person in the band that can speak english." Katie Pfeiffer pulled up in the clown car and said, "Why am I a clown?" Dave replied, "So uh, you wanna be in the band?" And with that, Katie gave up her past life of rainbow colored wigs and joined our dynamic duo. Oh, she definetely kept the clown nose. One day, probably before you were born or at the very least, before Marlon Brando got real fat and weird, the trio was fly fishing along the rapids of the scenic Hudson River. Saturn Incredible Man yelled, "Hay algo en mi linea y es grande y estupido." To which Katie yelled, "That's Anna Nicole Smith, throw her back before she eats my goddamn keyboard." Then a couple minutes later, Saturn Incredible Man reeled in another person wearing nothing but red pleather, seaweed, and a wacky doodle. Saturn Incredible Man took a liking to the rather squirrly looking character and named him Jeff Berner. Dave farted into his hand and threw it at Jeff, and said "How. We make peace. I like you a lot, I like you well." Jeff held out his seaweed, and said, "I come bearing gifts." Katie said, "He better not eat my goddamn keyboard." Steve's dad said, "What you boys need to do is quit acting like John Stamos and pack up your goddamn equipment." So, he was in the band now, mmkay. Now it was time to name the band. Everyone had a different idea. Katie said, "Let's call it 'Big Red Nose In A Lunchbox." Saturn Incredible Man wanted to name the band "Si El Creed Es Rock And Roll, Que La Rock And Roll Es Iggy Pop Grande Hacen Estallar El Crap En La Caja." Jeff wanted to call the band "Saturn Incredible Man Is A Non-English Speaking Dolt And A Mama's Boy. Steve's dad said, "Why don't you call yourselves the Weadles?" Dave, however, tended to favor "The Shane's Dad Happy Singalodean With Lots Of Sick Cats and A Weird-Eyed Dog Who Barks At Steve Traveling Revue" So S.L.I.D.E. (Some Lives In Distorted Eden) was founded.

Group Members David Geschwendt has worked with a variety of bands in the North East area including Not Blink, Flight School, and Panic Device. David is currently performing in the New York area with Five Minute Riot. Jeff Berner has been a member of numerous bands centered on the East Coast, such as Subject To Change (instrumental horn/groove), Jive Turkey (60's and 70's funk and soul) and Busticate (modern rock/jam/funk). His electric guitar playing has also gotten him guest spots with Wired and the Murali Coryell Band. Currently Jeff is a singer and guitarist with the New York based-band, Five Minute Riot./info/402/jeff_berner.html Katie Pfeffier has been composing since she was a wee las, and she has been known to make a guess appearance at MC Ken shows on the wooden bead. Saturn Incredible Man has recently recorded an album for an independent film in Chile by the film maker Ignacio Molina, and he performs regularly with the hip hop artist MC Ken /artists/336/saturn_incredible_man.html

Press Reviews (The Winner of TiGG's Promotion for the week Dec 30th - Jan 6th)"Oooh yeh! This isn't mainstream but it's good. It's really good. A folky sounding start is rudely interupted with a huge rock o/d guitar and drums driven riff (great snare sound). The track carries a melancholic feeling of dark secrets and turmoil. Clever use of heavy then light riffing (well played) guitar and harmony vocals make for a powerful sound cocktail. The track meanders from heavy to light like a mood swing and although it follows no traditional verse/chorus pattern it shouts definite quality and must see the light of day. Clever lyrics include inserts of latino (I think). The English lyrics paint impressionist emotional pictures that cannot quite be clearly seen but remain to be felt emotionally through the music. Might not make the chart no1 but I find this a very influencial track and will include it on my exclusive personal station." M "ehhhh" - MC Ken
