Artist description I am a 35-year-old singer-songwriter looking for musicians to form a band for live performance and recording. Although I started as a bass player in cover bands when I was growing up in Georgia, my focus changed to songwriting by the time I entered college. Somewhere along the line I became pretty proficient on the guitar, but I never considered this my specialty. I'd like to meet musicians, preferably in their 30's, who are very accomplished on their instruments, as I have had the good fortune to play with quite talented people. Specifically, I am interested in mature players who play with restraint, and who would rather underplay than overplay. I am also interested in nice people who work well with others. Other songwriters are welcome, as I would prefer to share this responsibility. Regarding the demos, some of these recordings contain full arrangements, but that does not mean that I am opposed to different interpretations. I just wanted to provide some of my own thoughts on the directions the songs could take, as well as to demonstrate my arrangement skills. Except where noted, I sang and played all the instruments (which really means that I played the guitar and programmed the drums, bass, and keyboards).
