Artist description
Jason Mikhail Poe's music has the distinction of straddling seemingly incongruous genres. Raised on 80's pop and boasting an extensive musical theater background, Poe has taken a decidedly less flamboyant approach to his own material. Still, there is a clear acknowledgement for his love of high drama lurking beneath the surface of these stripped-down, pensive acoustic ballads. Characterized by beautifully executed harmonies and a sincerity all too rare in contemporary Christian music, these songs reflect true compassion and faith.

Artist History
From his earliest memories of lip-syncing to new wave hits in front of a bedroom mirror, the passion to entertain has been a constant for Jason Mikhail Poe. It is a drive that has seen him through all manifestations of the performing arts, from childhood dance lessons to any number of lead roles in musicals as a young adult. However, it is in the composition and performance of his own material that Poe has found his niche. His subtle, guitar-driven numbers provide an excellent platform for rich, dynamic vocals that are as earnest and emotive as they are technically sound. |
