Artist History
Googie Rene' came to prominence in the hotbed of L.A.'s music scene in the 50's. He was signed as an artist, composer and talent scout for the Class Record label. He had a career as a solo artist and his first hit "Wham Bam" sent him into a spiral of many singles being released until the mid-60's. His boogie-woogie piano stylings and simple melodies were a perfect union. He still writes and performs to this day. His hit "Smokey Joe's La La" was sampled by DJ David Holmes in his song "My Mate Paul." |
