Artist description
2001 German Folk Award winner Toni Geiling is a 27 year-old multi-instrumentalist (mainly violin), songwriter and composer. Both a soloist and ensemble player, he has travelled extensivly with his music and is sure to eventually turn up in your neck of the world too. Every two years he has changed his sound and musical direction. At the moment he is taking an interest in old German songs and is writing music for string orchestra as well as recreating the New Acoustic Collective on European grounds. |

Artist History
Toni Geiling started to play the violin at the age of nine. He worked as a freelance musican around Ireland and Australia from 1995 to 2000. He now plays various instruments on stage, is a professional composer and writes a song when he has to. In 2001 he was rewarded with the All German Folk Award for his "exellent instrumental skills and stage performance". Toni is a member of the European Folk Network of Folk and dance as well as teacher for kids and spents all his passion on music, love, cooking and other types of magic.
