The Misrepresented is a punk rock trio formed
in San Mateo, CA in 2000. The Misrepresented play
almost every form of punk rock music you can
think of and blend it into one, avoiding the
possibility of making an album where every song
sounds the same. So if you're tired of hearing
bands who only have one good song, The
Misrepresented is your band! |

Artist History
It was a hot day in the month of April, 2000 and
Patrick Ryan's half band had just broken up.
When Patrick asked, fellow punk, Nick de la Riva
if he would like to form a band since Patrick's
original band had broken up, Nick said yes.
Quickly after that, Joey Calcaterra said he was
a former drummer about to take the instrument up
once again. Patrick and Nick said they needed a
drummer, and Joey was apart of the band. The
original lineup was Nick as guitar and Patrick
as Bass, but Patrick soon realized that thick
strings werent his type. So thats how Nick
became the bassist. Besides, he could already
play really good bass and sing with his
instrument. The name was "The Tri-Wannabes", but
was quickly changed when Robert Castillo wanted
to join.He asked about a million times. The Tri
Wannabes needed another guitarist so they would
be able to play a more andvanced form of music.
The band endured another lame name change to
"Punk-501".Punk 501 was better than the previous
ones, but it was still lame as hell. We then
started to do some practices and played songs
that Nick and Mike wrote on an airplane en route
to Hawaii. The band had a very hard time getting
things done when Nick, and Patrick were the only
realy punkers in the band. So due to lack of
showing up, Joey was fired, but still remains
close friends with the band. Shortly after, many
changes went through the band. Nick started
getting into the underground styles of hardcore
punk and Patrick was growing more and more
skilled with his guitar. Punk 501 inducted Mike
into the band as the new drummer. So now, 75% of
the band was punk. So there was one last person
to get kicked out. Not really anything changed
with Orgaz. Patrick and Nick, the last original
members of the band, decided to change the lame
ass name once more. After lots of thinking we
came into Silicone Dropout and No String Guitar
as the names. They were stuck. Then Mike came in
and flipped a coin and the outcome turned out to
be tails for No String Guitar. And now we NSG
just kicked Orgaz out of band because he never
did anything. Orgaz was also not a punker. He was
more of a rapper. Punk bands don't need rappers
in the band. That makes the band look like
posers. So NSG was 100% punk. Shortly after, the
band dropped everything and changed their name
to 4th Degree Burn! Then came the indroduction of
four new songs that will definetly be good. The
band was supposed to record, But the band decided
to take a break for a couple of months to finish
up some stuff in school and at home. The band
eventually changed their name for the final time
since 4th Degree Burn was not working out, and
the new name is "The Misrepresented". Now the
band is back and punker than ever and doing the
thing they do best! Being Punks. This return has
come at the 1 year anniversary of the band and
there is so much to look back on in this hectic
year! |
